Update: Unocoin Has No Active Crypto ATMs and No Support for Pi Withdrawals

Recently, a viral post circulating on social media claimed that Unocoin has launched a crypto ATM in Bengaluru and may soon support Pi coin withdrawals. However, this information is misleading and not supported by official sources.

The Reality Behind the Claim

The viral post suggested that users would soon be able to withdraw Pi Network coins through a Unocoin ATM. But Unocoin itself has publicly clarified that:

  • It has no association or partnership with Pi Network
  • The information about Pi withdrawals is incorrect
  • Users should rely only on official announcements
  • Pi Network (Pi coin) is currently not listed on Unocoin for buying or selling.

This directly contradicts the claims being spread online.

What About Unocoin Crypto ATMs?

Unocoin indeed experimented with a crypto kiosk back in 2018 in Bengaluru.

  • The machine was installed at Kemp Fort Mall
  • It allowed users to deposit or withdraw INR for crypto transactions
  • However, it was more of a kiosk (not a full ATM)
  • The project faced regulatory scrutiny and did not evolve into a widespread ATM network

As of now, there is no verified evidence that Unocoin operates active crypto ATMs in India.

No Support for Pi or Other Coin Withdrawals via ATM

Currently:

  • Unocoin does not support Pi coin withdrawals
  • There is no ATM-based withdrawal system for Pi or most cryptocurrencies in India
  • Crypto transactions in India primarily happen through exchanges and digital wallets—not physical ATMs

Why Such Misinformation Spreads

Crypto-related rumours often go viral due to:

  • Lack of official clarity from projects like Pi Network
  • High expectations around “easy cash-out” features
  • Misinterpretation of old news (like the 2018 kiosk)

Final Verdict

❌ No active Unocoin crypto ATMs

❌ No Pi Network partnership

❌ No ATM withdrawals for Pi or similar coins

✅ Only rely on official statements from companies like Unocoin

Conclusion

The idea of crypto ATMs and Pi withdrawals may sound exciting, but as of now, they remain unconfirmed and unsupported in India. Users should stay cautious and avoid believing viral posts without verification.
